Paper Submission Rules




1. Only the members of the Society are qualified to submit papers to the Journal. In case the paper is jointly written, the primary author must be a member of the Society. Other submissions, however, will be determined by the Editorial Committee upon the recommendation of the Standing Board of Directors.


2. The Society shall only recognize those who meet the following authorship requirements as an author:

(1) Those who made substantial contributions to the collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research concept, design, or data
(2) Those who developed the first draft of an important part of the paper, or made critical revisions to the paper
(3) Those who provided the final approval on the manuscript to be published
(4) Those who provided an agreement to take responsibility for all possible aspects of the research, so that questions about accuracy or authenticity of a part or all of the paper are adequately investigated and resolved.


3. This Journal will be edited with original works, informational text, general remarks, and miscellanea concerning research results as prescribed in the “Purpose of Establishment” in the Article 2 of the Society Rules.


4. Manuscript and documents regarding editing shall be communicated to the Editorial Committee. The submitted date of the manuscript shall be its registered date, and the Society shall immediately send a letter of paper notification or contact the submitter by phone.


5. All matters regarding the selection, as well as the publishing order and system, of papers shall be determined by the Editorial Committee. Submitted papers shall be published after a review process in accordance with the Society’s “Paper Review Rules.”


6. In principle, paper manuscript must be written in Korean or English, but other languages may be used for writing.


7. Manuscript cannot exceed a total of twelve pages, including charts, after printing.


8. The changes to authorship shall be made only in the first proof of manuscript. The correction shall be only for typographical errors in printing, and no revision or addition shall be recognized. However, if revision or addition is required for unavoidable reasons, the Editorial Committee must give the approval, and the author must compensate for the cost of carrying out the approval.


9. The author must compensate for the cost of using four-color proof press. Upon paper submission, the author must notify the Editorial Committee in writing whether four-color proof press needs to be used.


10. The author shall compensate for the cost of additional prints of the published paper.


11. This Journal shall be published quarterly, with the publishing dates on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31 of each year.


12. If this paper is published in the Journal of the Korean Society of International Agriculture, the author(s) hereby transfer all rights, profits, copyright, and digital copyright and exercise thereof to the Korean Society of International Agriculture.
